Jeonnam Central Region Child Protection Agency Holds Child Psychological Therapy Conference


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] The Jeonnam Central Region Child Protection Agency announced on the 10th that it held the 3rd Conference on Psychological Therapy for Abused Children at the education room of the Jeonnam Central Region Child Protection Agency.


A total of 10 people, including counselors and psychotherapists from the Child Protection Agency, attended this conference. The conference proceeded with presentations on psychological therapy cases for abused children and supervision on the therapy process.


In addition, discussions were held on therapeutic interventions to reduce trauma from abuse during the psychological therapy process, enabling the provision of high-quality psychological therapy services.


The Jeonnam Central Region Child Protection Agency holds a monthly therapist conference for case studies on psychological therapy for both abusers and abused children. Through this, they strive to provide more specialized psychological therapy for child abuse.


Yoo Ki-yong, director of the Jeonnam Central Region Child Protection Agency, stated, “Through this conference, we were able to recognize the importance of psychological therapy services conducted by the Child Protection Agency,” and added, “I am always grateful to the psychotherapists who quietly and diligently work in their respective positions.”
