[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] SBS Plus political talk show 'Lee Cheol-hee's Tazza' aired on the 9th after editing out the footage of the late Park Won-soon, Mayor of Seoul.
On the 10th, SBS Plus stated through multiple media outlets, "After internal discussions, it was decided to edit and broadcast the footage."
'Lee Cheol-hee's Tazza' had announced Park Mayor's appearance in the broadcast on the 9th. Park recorded the show on the 2nd, and the content discussing his future plans and political issues was scheduled to be aired.
However, on the day of the broadcast, after Park Mayor went missing following leaving a message resembling a suicide note, SBS Plus reportedly decided to edit out his appearance after discussions.
Therefore, the broadcast on the 9th only aired a discussion between former Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Cheol-hee, former United Future Party Supreme Council member Lee Jun-seok, and lawyer Kim Han-gyu about the controversy over the conversion of Incheon International Airport Corporation employees to regular positions and issues regarding Kim Jong-in, the emergency committee chairman of the United Future Party.
Meanwhile, at around 5:17 p.m. on the 9th, a report was filed with the police that Mayor Park was unreachable.
Park's daughter reported him missing, saying she could not contact her father, and the police deployed a large number of personnel to conduct a search.
At 12:01 a.m. on the 10th, about seven hours after the missing report, the police found Park's body in the mountains near the fortress wall trail of Bukaksan in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
The police are conducting an investigation following procedures for an unnatural death case.
