Gapyeong Forest Ecological Culture Experience Complex (Provided by Gapyeong County Office)

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Samyook University will be entrusted with the operation of the Gapyeong Forest Ecological Culture Experience Complex. Samyook University announced that it has signed a consignment agreement with Yangpyeong English Camp, Byeolssekkotdol Science Museum, and Gapyeong County for the management and operation of the Forest Ecological Culture Experience Complex.

The Gapyeong Forest Ecological Culture Experience Complex is a multi-purpose recreational complex with a site area of 49,699㎡ and a total building area of 4,158.23㎡. The complex includes accommodations for general and disabled guests, lounges, cultural assembly facilities, small conference rooms, exhibition halls, and experience facilities. Nearby, there is Kalbongsan Natural Recreation Forest, zip lines, and water play areas, making it a popular recreational spot.

Samyook University plans to develop and operate various educational programs in collaboration with these institutions, including permanent classrooms, school and group camps, and individual camps. Without using specialized camp equipment, it will promote outdoor leisure activities using natural materials (bushcraft) and develop the site as the only forest ecology education center in the metropolitan area, as well as an English and science experience education institution.
