Incon Unveils Total Mask Solution Platform... Targeting the Brand Mask Market

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Incon is expanding its mask business by signing a sales contract worth 40 billion KRW for masks recently and launching a comprehensive mask solution platform. In collaboration with its affiliate Gold Pacific's fashion brand ‘HOZE’, it plans to promote branded mask business through various channels such as home shopping and online/offline stores.

On the 10th, Incon announced that it will officially enter the mask market by newly launching a total solution platform for the entire mask industry called ‘M-Planet’.

M-Planet is a total service platform related to the mask business that provides ▲business consulting ▲introduction of production facilities ▲supply of filters and raw materials ▲marketing and sales to ensure stable mask supply in the market.

Through M-Planet, Incon offers comprehensive consulting services on the approval procedures from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety required for mask production and sales. Utilizing Incon’s domestic and international networks, it plans to stably supply not only mask production facilities but also raw materials necessary for mask production such as MB filters.

Amid ongoing distrust of Chinese-made masks, demand for Korean-made masks is rapidly increasing. Based on stable demand growth, Incon plans to expand its business area across the entire mask industry with differentiated competitiveness from other mask companies through M-Planet in the rapidly growing mask market.

An Incon official said, “Many domestic mask companies are facing production setbacks due to defective Chinese-made equipment,” adding, “Incon will actively resolve industry difficulties at production sites by partnering with domestic equipment automation companies to localize mask equipment.”

He continued, “Incon has already secured a stable distribution network for raw materials necessary for mask manufacturing,” and added, “Through collaboration with its affiliate’s fashion brand, it will introduce differentiated products to the domestic and international mask markets based on branded masks.”

Incon signed cumulative mask-related sales contracts worth 40.4 billion KRW, equivalent to 131.33% of the company’s total sales last year, through raw material supply including MB filters in June and a supply contract for KF health masks this month. Last month, it received recognition from the Fiber Material Testing Institute (FITI) for the MB filter’s 97% dust collection efficiency, confirming its suitability for use in KF health masks.
