From the 10th until midnight on the last day of the festival, the 16th, 68 bold and original fantasy, horror, and thriller films awaited by genre film fans will be available at the 'BIFAN X WATCHA Online Theater.' In a total of seven sections, including three competitive sections and four non-competitive sections, feature films can be viewed for 5,000 KRW and short films for 1,000 KRW. The screening list can be checked on the online theater or the official Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival website.
In the pre-sale on the 3rd, 'Nimic' by director Yorgos Lanthimos, who won the Jury Prize for 'The Lobster' and the Best Screenplay for 'Killing Deer,' 'Nyamnyam,' a hot topic in the 'Restricted Area' section with a shocking story about a zombie attack born in a plastic surgery clinic, and 'The Last and First Man,' narrated by Tilda Swinton, ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in pre-sale rates.
Tickets for the online theater films can be purchased anytime until 8 p.m. on the 16th on the official Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival website. After payment, an 8-digit ticket code is issued, and entering the code on the individual page of each online theater work allows viewing. The issued code is valid until the last day of the theater, and once entered, the viewing must be completed within 24 hours. Online theater works can only be viewed on a PC. A Watcha official said, "In an era where the everyday life we took for granted due to COVID-19 is no longer certain," adding, "It may feel unfamiliar for audiences who love films and film festivals to face the festival through an online theater, but we will make sure it is remembered as an exciting and enjoyable experience."
