Dobong District Residents Award Recipient Inducted into the 'Dobong Hall of Fame'

On the 9th, 'Dobong Resident Award' Ceremony and Dobong Hall of Fame Induction Held... Four Individuals and One Organization Awarded in Four Categories: Community Development, Social Service, Culture and Sports Promotion, and Public Morality

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) held the 2020 Dobong Citizen Awards Ceremony and the induction ceremony for the ‘Dobong Hall of Fame’ on the 1st floor of the district office on the 9th.

The ‘Dobong Citizen Award’ is given to exemplary citizens and organizations who have greatly contributed to the creation of a bright and healthy society and the development of the local community. Awardees receive a portrait plaque and the honor of being inducted into the ‘Dobong Hall of Fame’ established within the district office.

This year, four individuals and one organization were awarded in four categories: community development, social service, cultural and sports promotion, and public morals.

The 2020 Dobong Citizen Award recipients inducted into the ‘Dobong Hall of Fame’ are ▲ Community Development: Chun-gil Lee (Chairman of Banghak 3-dong Residents’ Autonomy Committee) ▲ Social Service Organization: Bukseoul Credit Union (financial support for socially vulnerable groups) ▲ Social Service Individual: Ho-gyun Doo (Head of Dobong-gu Apartment Volunteer Group) ▲ Cultural and Sports Promotion: Mi-sil Lee (Director of Gansong Old House) ▲ Public Morals: Hyung-seop Shim (Dean of the Senior College, Dobong Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association).

The event added significance as the awardees personally attached their nameplates to the ‘Dobong Hall of Fame’ together with Mayor Dongjin Lee during the induction ceremony held alongside the 2020 Dobong Citizen Awards presentation.

Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu stated, “The Dobong Citizen Award recipients are great figures and valuable assets of Dobong who have helped build a city for the people and a greater Dobong. We thank them for their hidden efforts so far,” and added, “We plan to continue discovering and awarding many more people who quietly serve the community and residents.”
