Paldo Launches Non-Face-to-Face Popup Store 'Paldo Bapsang' Utilizing Shared Kitchens


[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Now you can order Paldo Bibimmyun and Paldo Bibimbap through delivery apps.


Paldo has collaborated with Zest& to open ‘Paldo Bapsang’ on the 10th. ‘Paldo Bapsang’ is a contactless popup store with a delivery-only restaurant concept. All dishes are made using their own sauce product, ‘Paldo Bibimjang’.


Through this launch, Paldo aims to increase brand awareness of ‘Paldo Bibimjang’ and plans to link popular menu items from ‘Paldo Bapsang’ to ready-to-eat products in the future.


The signature dishes of ‘Paldo Bapsang’ are ‘Paldo Signature Buckwheat Bibimmyun’ and ‘Paldo Signature Mountain Vegetable Bibimbap’.


‘Paldo Signature Buckwheat Bibimmyun’ is a summer delicacy flavored with buckwheat noodles, soft-boiled egg, beef, and fried napa cabbage, made with ‘Paldo Bibimjang’ based on the liquid soup of ‘Paldo Bibimmyun’. ‘Paldo Signature Mountain Vegetable Bibimbap’ is an authentic bibimbap made with oat rice, known as a superfood, combined with ‘Paldo Bibimjang’ and seven ingredients including gondre (wild thistle) and steamed napa cabbage.


Gahyun Lee, Paldo’s marketing manager, said, “We hope more customers will experience the unique taste and joy of ‘Paldo Bibimjang’ through ‘Paldo Bapsang’,” adding, “We will strive to expand the menu to include dishes from various regions nationwide to provide differentiated brand value and enjoyment.”


Orders can be placed through delivery apps such as Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, and Coupang Eats. To celebrate the new opening throughout July, all customers who order dishes will receive one ‘Paldo Bibimjang’ (choice of Signature, Spicy Sauce, or Butter Soy Sauce).


Meanwhile, ‘Paldo Bapsang’ is located in the shared kitchen brand ‘Ghost Kitchen Gangnam Branch’, and delivery is limited to certain areas in Gangnam, Seoul.
