Sahakyeongeum Signs MOU with Gyeonggi Audience Media Center

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Private School Teachers' Pension Service (hereinafter referred to as the Private School Pension) announced on the 9th that it signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center on the 6th to strengthen the media capabilities of retired teachers and support their social participation activities.

Through this agreement, the Private School Pension will actively cooperate to operate professional training programs for media activities of retired teachers, support media content production and participation, support social participation and economic activities in the media field, and jointly promote projects to improve the media skills of retired teachers and create shared value in the local community.


The signing ceremony was held with only a minimal number of officials from the Private School Pension and the Media Center attending, all wearing masks and strictly following quarantine guidelines. Bae Oesuk, auditor attending the ceremony, said, “We are grateful for providing an opportunity through this agreement to enhance the media utilization skills of retired teachers and contribute to solving related social issues.”


Shim Jaeheun, director of the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center, stated, “With the human infrastructure support from the Private School Pension, we expect increased awareness of the media industry and better growth of the media sector.” Joo Myunghyun, chairman, said, “This initiative was undertaken to provide retired teachers of the Private School Pension with new media activity support, offering a unique opportunity for the second act of their lives, and furthermore, to contribute in some way to creating a healthy media environment to realize the government’s top 100 national agenda of ‘healthy development of media.’”
