[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 9th that county office officials will take the lead in thoroughly managing quarantine measures amid the trend of COVID-19 spreading to the clean area of Jeonnam.
Recently, confirmed COVID-19 cases have occurred in nearby areas of Muan, such as Mokpo, Yeongam, and Hampyeong, making it necessary for residents to exercise special caution.
Accordingly, the county believes that it is more important than ever for public officials to practice infectious disease prevention rules and wear masks at a time when a public participation atmosphere is needed to prevent regional spread and ensure that not a single confirmed case occurs in the area.
Governor Kim San emphasized, “Confirmed COVID-19 cases have occurred even in nearby areas, putting our region in a serious situation where we cannot feel safe,” adding, “County office officials themselves must voluntarily refrain from various gatherings, dinners, golf, etc., to do their best to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, make mask-wearing a daily habit, and set an example for residents.”
In Muan County, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and provide a pleasant environment for visitors to the county office, disinfection has been carried out three times in the county office building and parking lots, and to prepare for a second wave, a negative pressure special ambulance has been purchased to do their best in infectious disease prevention.
