[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The CEO of a "digital undertaker" company that deletes internet records has been referred to the prosecution on charges of possessing child and adolescent sexual exploitation materials.
The Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 9th that they have sent CEO Park Hyung-jin (39) of Easycoms to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse.
According to the police, Park is suspected of possessing sexual exploitation materials featuring minors.
Park gained attention by tracking down Jo Joo-bin (24, detained and indicted), the operator of the Telegram "Baksa Bang" case.
Meanwhile, Park was also non-detained indicted in April on charges of requesting banner advertisements by paying several million won to the country's largest sexual exploitation site (aiding the distribution of obscene materials under the Information and Communications Network Act and aiding filming using cameras under the Special Act on Sexual Violence Crimes).
