[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The Korea Insurance Training Institute announced on the 9th that 209 candidates passed the 20th Insurance Underwriter Qualification Examination held last month.
Insurance underwriters, known as underwriters, are certified through a nationally recognized system that distinguishes non-life insurance into personal insurance and corporate insurance, certifying expertise in each field. Since its introduction in 2010, a total of 6,561 candidates have passed.
A representative from the Korea Insurance Training Institute stated, "By assessing theoretical and practical knowledge of non-life insurance, we contribute to nurturing industry professionals," adding, "We plan to actively fulfill our role as an industrial training institution to strengthen the expertise of those working in the insurance industry."
