CareLabs, Visit by Prime Minister Jeong Seyeon... "Observation of Non-Face-to-Face Medical Platform 'Goodoc' Service Demonstration"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun visited ‘Goodoc,’ a 100% subsidiary of CareLabs, a mobile health and beauty care platform specialist company, on the 8th. ‘Goodoc’ is the leading non-face-to-face medical service platform operator in Korea, which was spun off from CareLabs as of the 1st.

According to industry sources on the 9th, more than 60 key officials from various government ministries, including the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, visited the Goodoc business site. CareLabs introduced the development case of the ‘Public Mask Inventory Notification Service’ using public data, followed by demonstrations of various non-face-to-face medical services provided on the Goodoc platform.

At the Goodoc site within CareLabs, a roundtable meeting was held to discuss public-private cooperation and regulatory improvement measures with companies utilizing public data in various fields, developers, and young people. Ahead of the announcement of the detailed plan for the government’s ‘Korean New Deal’ policy, which will invest a large-scale budget of over 100 trillion won over the next five years, key tasks such as ▲utilization of public data ▲non-face-to-face medical treatment are emerging. Accordingly, at the roundtable, advice on various future business linkages and development directions among ministries continued.

Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun emphasized the increasing necessity of public-private cooperation using public data even in the post-COVID-19 era during the roundtable, highlighting the need for related regulatory reforms. He also expressed his commitment to continuously improve by actively reflecting opinions from the field.

Park Kyung-deuk, CEO of CareLabs, said, “As the major services of ‘Goodoc,’ which firmly holds the No. 1 position in the non-face-to-face medical platform market, are gaining attention at the center of the national industry, we feel a heavy responsibility. We will continue to lead the platform updates of ‘Goodoc’ by designing service models that keep various possibilities open and respond swiftly at all times, and above all, we will strive to maximize user convenience.”
