Ziziphus Jujuba Targets Female Hearts Across the Continent... Participates in the '2020 Shanghai Beauty Expo'

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Jilkyung-i announced on the 9th that it will participate in the '2020 China Shanghai Beauty Expo' held for three days from the 9th to the 11th at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in China.

Celebrating its 25th edition this year, the China Shanghai Beauty Expo is the largest beauty expo in Asia and is considered one of the world's top three beauty expos. This year, over 3,600 companies from about 18 countries including Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, and the United States are participating.

Jilkyung-i will set up a solo booth at the expo to promote the technological capabilities of its feminine hygiene product brand to Chinese consumers, global buyers, and beauty industry professionals.

The exhibited items include various types of feminine hygiene products such as the solid-type feminine wash ‘Jilkyung-i’, the wash-type feminine wash ‘Jilkyung-i Daily Ecoa Wash Pure (gel·foam)’, tissue-type feminine wash ‘Jilkyung-i Feminine Tissue (box·light)’, bikini line whitening cream ‘Sunshine Tone Up Cream (30ml)’, and the corn ingredient-containing top sheet sanitary pad ‘Maeum Sanridae’. In particular, most of the exhibited items, including ‘Jilkyung-i Original’, ‘Daily Ecoa Wash Pure’ two types, and ‘Sunshine Tone Up Cream’, have obtained hygiene approval from China’s NMPA, attracting the attention of global buyers.

Jilkyung-i previously established a local corporation in Beijing, China in 2016 and has received hygiene approval for a total of six representative products. Last year, about 20,000 units of feminine hygiene products launched three times on the Chinese online shopping mall ‘Taobao’ sold out within a short time on the same day.

A Jilkyung-i official said, “Interest in inner beauty is increasing in China, and due to the COVID-19 virus, the need for hygiene and cleanliness has also emerged, so the Chinese feminine hygiene product market is expected to grow further,” adding, “This year, Jilkyung-i is making efforts not only for the expo but also to expand online distribution sales, and as a result, the Tmall International Pavilion is scheduled to open at the end of this month.”
