[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Pulmuone announced on the 9th that CEO Lee Hyo-yul participated in the 'Stay Strong' campaign, which delivers support messages to overcome the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.
The 'Stay Strong' campaign is a certification relay campaign started by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea in March to send support messages worldwide to overcome the unprecedented global pandemic COVID-19. Through the logo showing hands clasped together washing with soap bubbles and the phrase 'Stay Strong,' it conveys the meaning of overcoming COVID-19 by adhering to personal hygiene.
Participants take a photo holding a signboard made with the campaign logo and their own support message, then post it on social networking services (SNS), and nominate three people to pass on the relay baton.
CEO Lee participated in this campaign upon being nominated by Kim Yeon-hee, representative partner of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Korea, and recommended the next participants to continue the support relay: Na Jong-ho, executive vice chairman of the Korea Small and Medium Enterprises Association, Lee Kwang-ho, vice chairman of the Korea Food Industry Association, and Choi Yong-ju, vice president of Seoul National University of Science and Technology.
CEO Lee said, "The whole world is going through a great crisis due to COVID-19, but I believe that if we do not give up and all work together, we can definitely overcome it. Pulmuone will unite all employees with one heart and one mind to contribute to the swift end of COVID-19 and will also fulfill its social responsibilities as a company."
Meanwhile, Pulmuone is conducting various sharing activities to help neighbors facing difficulties due to COVID-19. Starting with supporting fresh green juice for the health management of Wuhan residents temporarily returning home in February, Pulmuone has provided 50,000 packs of Saengmyeon Sikgam ramen for self-quarantined individuals and medical staff in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, and 7,300 masks to eight partner companies. In addition, the nonprofit public interest foundation Pulmuone Foundation has been conducting virus infection prevention education tailored to children's perspectives since June.
