[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Seo Yang-ho) received a donation of 30 million KRW from Kim Chang-mook, chairman of Dongchan Enterprise, at 5 p.m. on the 8th in the mayor's office on the 3rd floor of Jung-gu Office.

Chairman Kim Chang-mook, who attended the event, stated that he decided to donate the funds this year on the occasion of his Baeksu (백수, 99th birthday), hoping the money would be delivered to neighbors in need.

Kim Chang-mook, whose company is located in Namdaemun Market, is a descendant of Kim Deok-won, a patriot who led the March 1st Movement in Dongchang Village, Naechon-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province on April 3, 1919. He currently serves as the chairman of the Dongchang March 1st Movement Memorial Association and is also a director of the Institute for Correcting National History.

The donated funds will be delivered to the Seoul Jung-gu Community Chest of Korea 'Fruit of Love' and will be used effectively to support vulnerable groups in need.
