[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Parts of an unidentified body were found in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA.
According to reports from ABC News and others on the 7th (local time), a jogger near the intersection of 38th Street and 31st Street around 7 a.m. reported to the police that they found a "human head" by the roadside.
The police estimate that the body had not been left unattended for a long time, based on the witness's testimony that it was not discovered even two days earlier on the 5th.
However, it was reported that the body’s age, gender, and race could not be identified.
The body was handed over to the Pinellas County Medical Examiner, and the police are investigating unsolved missing person cases and searching nearby woods to find clues about the identity.
The police have controlled traffic in the area and launched an investigation, but since the discovery site is under an overpass and surrounded by dense woods, there is no footage available from surveillance cameras.
