Jeonbuk 31st Confirmed Case Shared Flight with Kazakhstani Woman
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] A man in his 40s from Kazakhstan who entered Iksan City, Jeonbuk Province for employment has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Jeonbuk health authorities on the 8th, the man arrived at Incheon Airport from Almaty on Astana Airlines flight KC909 on the 6th. After moving to Namwon Human Resources Development Institute, he tested positive for COVID-19 on the 7th following a specimen test.
The man has been classified as the 32nd confirmed case in Jeonbuk and is currently isolated and hospitalized at Gunsan Medical Center. It is reported that there are no individuals in the province who shared the same movement path or had contact with him.
The 32nd confirmed case was confirmed to have been on the same flight as the 31st confirmed case, a woman in her 20s from Kazakhstan.
