[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] YG PLUS, which operates an artist goods business, announced on the 8th that it launched the BLACKPINK figure collection in the United States on the 21st of last month in collaboration with the global merchandise specialist company 'BRAVADO'. This is the first release since the licensing agreement for BLACKPINK goods with BRAVADO earlier this year.
This collection of goods was created to commemorate BLACKPINK's comeback and features figures reproducing each member's style as seen in their music videos. The collection includes 12 types of Micro Pop Stars, 4 types of Broken Heart Superstars, and 1 type of Light-up Plush Heart.
When opening the blind figure box, fans receive a random BLACKPINK member figure, designed so that fans can mix and match the costumes and accessories from the music videos themselves. Additionally, the random box adds the fun of collecting, and each design reflects the members' opinions, making the goods even more meaningful for fans, the company expects. The Light-up Plush Heart adds a unique touch by sparkling in response to the beat of the music playing from the base when the heart part is pressed.
YG PLUS stated, "Starting with the U.S. release, BLACKPINK's goods will expand globally to Europe, South America, Australia, and more," and added, "Various metallic mood goods matching the concept of BLACKPINK's single album 'How You Like That' will also be available later this month."
Meanwhile, the BLACKPINK figure collection can be found at the U.S. Amazon online store and all Target stores.
