[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Online video service (OTT) 'Wavve' will showcase about 10 original content pieces produced in-house in the second half of this year.
On the 8th, Wavve announced it will release the variety show 'Level Up Asseulhan Project' starring Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi. This is a spin-off of the 'Level Up Project,' which has been airing since 2018. The content, each episode lasting 30 minutes, will be provided twice every Wednesday at 11 a.m., totaling 12 episodes.
In early next month, 'Boy Mental Camp,' featuring Kim Jae-hwan, Jung Se-woon, Lee Jin-hyuk, and Kim Woo-seok, is also scheduled to be released. On the same day, a teaser video for Wavve's first comprehensive programming channel investment work 'Lie After Lie,' set to air on Channel A in September, was unveiled. Starring Lee Yoo-ri, Yeon Jung-hoon, and Lee Il-hwa, this drama tells the story of a woman who begins a false love to become the stepmother of her adopted biological daughter.
Additionally, dramas such as 'SF8,' directed by eight film directors, KBS's 'Zombie Detective,' SBS's 'Hotel Elise,' MBN's 'My Dangerous Wife,' and TV Chosun's 'Ohara Revenge (working title)' are scheduled to be exclusively released online on Wavve.
Kim Hong-gi, head of the Content Wavve Business Planning Group, said, "Since Wavve's original content investment is concentrated in the second half of this year, we will continue to introduce new content starting this month."
