According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency on the 7th, around 3 p.m. that day, a 4.5-ton cargo vehicle hit a height restriction structure protecting the KTX railway bridge at the intersection in front of Yuwon Industry on Wonduro, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

Due to this accident, the structure collapsed, and traffic is expected to be controlled for about five days until restoration is completed.

A representative from the Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency stated, “Traffic on the construction section (Wonduro) will be completely restricted until the structure is restored to its original state,” and added, “Please take detours and drive safely until the construction is finished.”
