[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Broadcaster Ham So-won opened up about her concerns regarding her married life with her husband, who is 18 years younger.
On the 6th, Ham So-won, who married Jin Hua, her husband 18 years her junior, appeared on the SBS Plus variety show 'Do You Eat Well?'.
During the broadcast, Ham So-won said, "My husband is now 27 years old. He still has three years left in his twenties. So I have to take better care of him."
She added, "When my daughter Hye-jeong gets married, I will be in my seventies. I wonder if I will be able to help when Hye-jeong gets married and has children," and said, "To see my grandchildren, I have to live until 100 years old."
She then confided to Kim Soo-mi, "If I pass away first, my husband might remarry, and I worry whether that woman will treat my daughter well."
She continued, "I was so worried that I took out a 100-year maturity insurance policy. It’s for me to receive. I took out insurance to live until 100," which brought laughter.
She also said, "My dream is to live a long life," and added, "When I think about the best thing I’ve done in life, it’s giving birth to my daughter Hye-jeong."
Then Kim Soo-mi connected a video call to Ham So-won’s husband Jin Hua and asked, "Have you ever regretted marrying (Ham) So-won even once?"
Jin Hua replied, "Not even once."
Kim Soo-mi then said, "Talking now, it seems Hye-jeong’s mother loves Jin Hua very much," and asked, "So-won worries that when she gets older, she might not be able to take care of Hye-jeong. If So-won passes away first, will you remarry?"
When Jin Hua said, "I won’t," Kim Soo-mi said, "I’m glad the two of you live so happily and beautifully," and encouraged, "So-won, love him a lot."
