Foreign Male in His 50s from Uzbekistan Tests Positive for COVID-19 Upon Entry

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seodaemun-gu announced on the morning of the 6th that a man in his 50s, a foreigner who entered through Incheon Airport from Uzbekistan, tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of the 7th, the day after his arrival.

This man, the 37th confirmed case in Seodaemun-gu, was asymptomatic and immediately after arrival, took a designated taxi for overseas arrivals to the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic to undergo a COVID-19 test.

The confirmed patient maintained self-quarantine at his home in Hongje 3-dong and was transferred to a treatment hospital in the afternoon of the 7th after testing positive in the morning.

Seodaemun-gu conducted disinfection around the patient’s residence and disclosed his movement route on the district’s official website.
