NH Nonghyup Bank Joins the 'Deokbune Challenge' NongHyup Bank Vice President Jang Mi-kyung and employees are expressing the sign language for the 'Thanks to You Challenge' at the headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 6th.


[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 7th that its Credit Review Department participated in the 'Thanks To Challenge,' which delivers messages of respect, gratitude, and support to the people overcoming the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) together.


The 'Thanks To Challenge' is a national support campaign for overcoming COVID-19 initiated by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters. It involves posting photos expressing sign language conveying gratitude and respect for the public, along with related hashtags on social media, and nominating the next participant in a relay format. Originally targeting medical staff, the campaign was expanded on the 6th to support the entire nation.


Deputy Governor Jang Mikyung participated on the 1st after being nominated by Kang Shinsook, Executive Director of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives. Deputy Governor Jang nominated Kim Hyekyung, Executive Director of the Korea Federation of Banks, and Professor Lee Hyangsook from the Department of Mathematics at Ewha Womans University as the next participants.


Deputy Governor Jang said, "I express deep gratitude and respect for the sacrifices and efforts of all citizens dedicated to overcoming COVID-19," adding, "Nonghyup Bank will also do its best to support small business owners and SMEs financially so that we can overcome these difficult times together."


Meanwhile, Nonghyup Bank provided a total of 9.6038 trillion KRW in financial support during the first half of the year, including 359 billion KRW in interest subsidy loans for small business owners related to COVID-19, 3.8932 trillion KRW in new liquidity support, and 181.2 billion KRW in interest and installment deferrals on existing loans.
