Operation of 'Summer at the Library' from the 20th to the 28th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] Jinyeong Hanbit Library in Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam announced on the 7th that it will end the long closure due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and expand its existing summer special lectures, which were operated for elementary school students, to include adults and infants.
The 'Summer at the Library' special lectures consist of children's play utilization methods, calligraphy and hand-sewing crafts, in-depth social reading using newspapers and book art, English reading, and math fairy tales.
Most classes are operated as one-day classes, allowing participants to select and apply for the desired date and class. The tuition is free, but material costs are borne by the students.
A library official said, "We planned the program hoping it would provide a breather for users who felt frustrated and disappointed during the four-month closure due to COVID-19."
The special lecture period is from the 20th of this month to August 28th, and applications can be made from 10 a.m. on the 9th through the Gimhae City Public Facility Reservation Service website.
Details of the class schedule and content can also be checked on this site, and for more information, inquiries can be made to the library.
