POSCO Engineering & Construction announced in July that the name of the apartment to be introduced through the Dongsincheon Union Housing Reconstruction Project in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City has been finalized as ‘The Sharp DEARELO’.

The complex name ‘The Sharp DEARELO’ confirmed for the Dongsincheon Union Housing Reconstruction combines ‘Dear,’ meaning ‘beloved,’ and the Spanish word ‘Cielo,’ meaning ‘sky.’

This name symbolizes “the best residential space under the sky that every beloved citizen of Daegu envies,” expressing pride as a representative complex of the Dongdaegu Station area, which is emerging as a new residential district in Daegu.

The Sharp DEARELO will be reborn as a landmark in the area through the reconstruction of aged apartments and detached house sites covering 51,000㎡ in Sincheon 4-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City. It will consist of 12 buildings with up to 25 floors above ground, exclusive areas ranging from 59 to 114㎡, and a total of 1,190 households, of which 760 units will be available for general sale.

The complex boasts excellent residential conditions adjacent to Suseong-gu in the Dongdaegu Station area, which is rising as a new center and emerging residential town in Daegu.

First, it is close to the complex transfer center with KTX/SRT Dongdaegu Station, Daegu Subway Line 1, and the bus terminal, and Hyoshin Elementary School is within walking distance, allowing safe commuting for children. Large shopping and cultural facilities such as Shinsegae Department Store, Hyundai City Outlet, and E-Mart are also nearby.

Additionally, the complex shares the Suseong-gu living area. It is close to the Suseong-gu academy district, and especially near Beomeo Intersection, where Daegu’s financial, medical, administrative, and legal infrastructures are concentrated, promising a more convenient residential life.

Moreover, the complex will apply ‘AiQ TECH,’ a smart technology brand in the housing sector launched for the first time in the construction industry by POSCO E&C. This smart technology, which combines artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent sensing (IQ), provides various convenient services by linking with platforms such as Kakao, SKT, and Samsung Electronics centered on The Sharp Cloud platform. Residents can control various devices and network system information within their units via voice recognition apps or applications, and safety systems and services such as intelligent video analysis CCTV systems will be introduced.

A POSCO E&C official said, “We will do our best to present the best residential space worthy of the name ‘The Sharp DEARELO’ confirmed as the complex name,” adding, “Through this, we will further enhance the reputation of The Sharp brand, which is raising its status in Daegu by recently winning the Beomeo-dong Gyeongnam Town reconstruction project.”

The model house for The Sharp DEARELO will be located at 328-1 Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City (near Exit 2 of Dongdaegu Station on the Daegu Subway or near Shinsegae Department Store).
