[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the United Future Party, raised suspicions of the Blue House's involvement on the 7th, stating, "The background of Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae's exercise of investigative authority lies with the Blue House."

At the floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Floor Leader Joo said, "We have identified that the Ministry of Justice reported in advance through the Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs in writing and received approval from the Blue House," adding, "This means that the attempt to undermine Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol is not Minister Choo's unilateral action but is being meticulously carried out under the Blue House's behind-the-scenes manipulation and cooperation."

Floor Leader Joo criticized, "President Moon Jae-in took a stance on June 22, urging Minister Choo and Prosecutor General Yoon to prepare bold reform measures and seemingly encouraged cooperation between them, but to pretend ignorance and neglect even after receiving reports on the Ministry of Justice's exercise of investigative authority is not only a deception of the people but also a very cowardly act of leaving the conflict unattended as the appointing authority."

He stated, "Why try to oust our Prosecutor General, whose term is guaranteed, just because he investigated the living power?" and added, "There must be a clear statement from the Blue House regarding the attempt to neutralize the prosecution."

After the meeting that day, Floor Leader Joo told reporters regarding the basis for the Blue House involvement theory, "We can only say that we have confirmed it, but it would be better not to disclose the form or method of confirmation."
