Jaan to Fully Enter Mask Business... "New Business in Full Swing"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Jaan will officially launch new businesses by adding mask and bio-pharmaceutical related businesses to its articles of incorporation through an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on the 8th.

Jaan announced on the 7th that it plans to diversify its business by adding mask manufacturing and distribution, and bio-pharmaceutical related businesses to its business objectives at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.

The mask business will manufacture and supply various types of masks, including dust masks, medical masks, and antibacterial masks. The bio-pharmaceutical related business will be conducted in a way to expand related businesses, including the manufacturing of functional masks.

The new businesses are expected to create synergy with the logistics business held by Jaan Group, an affiliate of Jaan Corporation. Jaan Group has accumulated know-how related to logistics in the process of distributing overseas famous brand products to the Asian market through the global luxury sales platform 'Selecon'.

A Jaan Group official said, “Jaan Group already has networks not only domestically but also overseas in manufacturing and distribution, so we expect great synergy with the mask business,” and added, “In addition to logistics, we are reviewing whether there are any brands secured by Jaan Group that can be applied to the mask business in connection with the fashion business.”

He continued, “We are also considering ways to expand related businesses, such as launching a new healthcare brand by utilizing Jaan Group’s brand management capabilities.”

Jaan Corporation has been engaged mainly in the manufacturing and distribution of special coatings, and since being incorporated into Jaan Group in March this year, it has actively reviewed new businesses to secure long-term growth engines. In addition to this new business, Jaan Group plans to promote new businesses that can create synergy with existing businesses, such as the 'fulfillment' business supporting Selecon’s logistics capabilities through Jaan Corporation.
