Samsung Electronics Launches Disney Collection of Wind-Free Air Conditioners

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Samsung Electronics announced on the 7th that it has launched the 'Disney Collection,' featuring popular Disney character designs on the 'Wind-Free Air Conditioner Wall-Mounted Wide.'

Following the release of the 'Frozen II' edition in April, Samsung Electronics is introducing seven new characters.

This collection is limited to 2,020 units, and consumers can directly choose panels featuring Disney's 'Frozen II' Olaf, 'Mickey Mouse,' 'Mickey & Minnie Mouse,' as well as Marvel's 'Iron Man' and 'Spider-Man,' and Pixar's 'Toy Story' characters Woody and Buzz. Previously, Disney acquired Pixar and Marvel Entertainment in 2006 and 2009 respectively, making these characters part of Disney's portfolio.

Samsung Electronics explained that this collection notably includes popular Marvel characters aimed not only at children but also at adults interested in characters, known as 'kidults (kid+adult).'

The Disney Collection consists of the 2020 model Wind-Free Air Conditioner Wall-Mounted Wide and one panel featuring a Disney character. Consumers can freely swap between the standard panel and the character panel.

The product's retail price is 1,080,000 KRW, and the character panels are made-to-order and will be shipped separately within three weeks after ordering.
