[Today's Weather] Full Heat 'Soseo' Around 30 Degrees... Rain in Some Areas

[Asia Economy Kim Bong-ju, Intern Reporter] On the 7th, Tuesday, which is 'Soseo,' the solar term marking the official start of the heat during the year, the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to 32 degrees Celsius, signaling the onset of the full summer heat.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, there will be rain in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and the northern part of Gangwon Yeongseo until 9 a.m. On the same day, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., showers are forecast in the southern part of Gangwon Yeongseo and the inland northern part of Gyeongbuk.

Expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 20 mm in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and northern Gangwon Yeongseo, and 5 to 20 mm in southern Gangwon Yeongseo and inland northern Gyeongbuk.

Rain is also expected in Jeju Island and the southern coast until the morning. The expected precipitation in Jeju Island until 12 p.m. is 30 to 80 mm.

By region, the daytime high temperatures are expected to be ΔSeoul 28°C ΔIncheon 26°C ΔChuncheon 30°C ΔGangneung 29°C ΔDaejeon 28°C ΔDaegu 32°C ΔBusan 27°C ΔJeonju 29°C ΔGwangju 30°C ΔJeju 27°C.

The morning low temperatures are forecast to be ΔSeoul 21°C ΔIncheon 21°C ΔChuncheon 22°C ΔGangneung 22°C ΔDaejeon 22°C ΔDaegu 22°C ΔBusan 21°C ΔJeonju 22°C ΔGwangju 22°C ΔJeju 23°C.

Fine dust levels are predicted to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions. However, some areas in the Yeongnam region may experience slightly higher concentrations in the morning due to atmospheric stagnation causing accumulation of domestically generated fine dust.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Especially in Jeju Island, from 3 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning with hourly rainfall around 20 mm in some areas, so caution is needed for facility management and safety accidents."
