30s Unconscious After Diving in Pension Swimming Pool

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 30s who visited a pension on Yeongjongdo Island in Incheon lost consciousness and collapsed while diving in the pension swimming pool.

Incheon Yeongjong Fire Station reported on the 6th that at 5:37 PM on the 5th, a 31-year-old man identified as A was reported to 119 after losing consciousness and collapsing in a pension swimming pool in Eulwang-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.

Firefighters who responded to the call found A in cardiac arrest and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before transporting him to the hospital.

A had come to the pension on Yeongjongdo with friends that day and was playing in a 3.5x6m swimming pool when he dived from a height of 1.2m, causing the accident. His friends discovered him unconscious floating on the water and called 119.

A is currently reported to be unconscious.
