[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The upcoming 'iPhone 12' 5.4-inch model is reported to be larger than the first-generation iPhone SE but smaller than the iPhone 7.

On the 5th (local time), Twitter user Isaac, active in the IT specialist media MacRumors forum, compared the size of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 model circulating online with the iPhone SE and iPhone 7, finding it to be in between the two models.

When comparing the three products, the width of the iPhone 12 model was 6mm wider than the first-generation iPhone SE and 3mm smaller than the iPhone 7. It was also 1mm thicker than the first-generation iPhone SE.

The 5.4-inch model is expected to continue the lineage of the iPhone SE as a model that appeals to those who prefer a smaller screen with less price burden. Even with a larger screen, compared to the 4.7-inch iPhone SE, the bezel is much smaller, making it easier to operate with one hand.

The iPhone 12 series is expected to feature a design with sharp corners like the iPhone 4. Among domestic users, it is sometimes likened to a 'kkaennip canned food' (perilla leaf can).

The iPhone 12 is expected to be released in a total of four models: two sizes of 6.7 inches and 6.1 inches, and one 5.4-inch model. The 5.4-inch model is even smaller than the iPhone 11 Pro (5.8 inches). The 6.7-inch model is expected to be larger than the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Apple is expected to hold a new product launch event in September to unveil the iPhone 12 and others. The 6.7-inch and one 6.1-inch model will be equipped with three cameras, while the other 6.1-inch model and the 5.4-inch model will have dual cameras.
