[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] The National Credit Union Federation of Korea announced on the 6th that it will hold the 'Eobuba Song Video Contest' for six weeks until the 16th of next month.
The contest format allows participants to create promotional videos using the ShinHyup Eobuba CM song that conveys the meaning of 'lifelong Eobuba' without any genre restrictions. Videos can be produced in various styles such as vlogs, solo broadcasts, music videos, and more.
Anyone regardless of age or gender can participate, and applicants can download the application form, audio files, and guide song from the ShinHyup blog to create their videos. All submitted videos will be publicly available on ShinHyup's official YouTube channel.
Prizes will be awarded to up to 71 winners based on originality, relevance to the theme, and promotional usefulness, through internal judging combined with YouTube content response. The grand prize winner will receive 3 million KRW, with 2 million KRW for the excellence award, 1 million KRW for the merit award, 300,000 KRW and an Eobuba goods set for the weekly best award (one winner per week), and 50,000 KRW mobile gift certificates for the popularity award (10 winners per week), totaling approximately 12.8 million KRW in prizes.
All winning entries will be announced and individually notified through ShinHyup's official blog. The final winners will be announced on the 28th of next month, and the weekly best and popularity awards will be announced every Wednesday starting from the 15th. Selected works will be used as promotional content for ShinHyup in the future.
Park Gyu-hee, head of the Public Relations Office at the National Credit Union Federation of Korea, said, “This contest was organized to commemorate the 60th anniversary of ShinHyup's founding and to comfort the public who have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.” She added, “We hope that through this contest, ShinHyup’s mascot 'Eobuba' will become a more familiar image to the public.”
