According to Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 6th, a 59-year-old female Kazakhstani national residing in Gyeongju entered the country asymptomatically through Incheon Airport on the 3rd, was tested by health authorities who visited her home on the 4th, and tested positive on the 5th. She was admitted to Andong Medical Center.
As of midnight on the 6th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongsangbuk-do area increased to 1,351. This is the 55th confirmed case in the Gyeongju area.
The number of recovered patients in Gyeongsangbuk-do is 1,284, and the death toll remains at 58. Nine confirmed patients are receiving treatment dispersed across hospitals: five at Andong Medical Center, two at Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital, and two at hospitals in other cities and provinces.
