Ulsan City Expands Eligibility for 'New Ulsan Multi-Child Love Card' in Accordance with City Ordinance
Ulsan City Hall. Ulsan City plans to expand the eligibility for issuing the Multi-Child Love Card to encourage childbirth.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The eligibility for issuing the ‘Ulsan Multi-Child Love Card’ will be expanded to encourage childbirth.
Ulsan City announced on the 6th that, through a business agreement on childbirth encouragement policies with Gyeongnam Bank, the issuance eligibility for the ‘New (NEW) Ulsan Multi-Child Love Card’ will be expanded starting from the 7th.
This expansion is based on the ‘Plan for Revising Local Ordinances Related to Multi-Child Families’ established in February, aiming to unify the definition of ‘multi-child families’ in the city ordinance with the eligibility criteria for issuing the Ulsan Multi-Child Love Card.
Previously, the card was issued to families residing in Ulsan who had given birth to two or more children under the age of 18, but going forward, families residing in Ulsan who are raising, protecting, and educating two or more children including at least one minor will be eligible for issuance.
Additionally, the issuance method, which was previously only available in person, will be improved to allow both non-face-to-face and face-to-face issuance.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “There was confusion due to differing criteria between the ordinance and card issuance eligibility regarding discounts on public facility usage fees and public parking fees,” adding, “This confusion will be eliminated, and support for multi-child families will be expanded.”
