[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A woman in her 70s who was confirmed to have COVID-19 in Daejeon has died.

According to Daejeon City on the 5th, this woman (Daejeon patient No. 125), who lived in Wolpyeong-dong, Seo-gu, was confirmed positive on the 2nd as a contact of patient No. 88 in the region. Since then, she has been receiving isolated treatment in a negative pressure ward at Chungnam National University Hospital.

Patient No. 88, a woman in her 60s residing in Jung-gu, visited Orange Town in Goejeong-dong, Seo-gu, where several confirmed cases were reported, on the afternoon of the 18th of last month and was confirmed positive on the 23rd of the same month.

Meanwhile, in Daejeon, patient No. 19 (79 years old) died while receiving isolated treatment at Chungnam National University Hospital on May 2nd.
