[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Sung Si-kyung's venture into YouTube broadcasting has been revealed.
On the 4th, tvN's 'On and Off' aired a joint broadcast featuring Sung Si-kyung and Bapgubnam from the YouTube mukbang channel 'SanjeokTV,' which has about 980,000 subscribers.
During the broadcast, he introduced Bapgubnam by saying, "This guy is amazing because he raised cattle, then butchered and sold the meat. He's a complete meat expert."
Next, Sung Si-kyung visited YouTuber Bapgubnam, who lives in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do. Bapgubnam prepared a total of 14 servings of meat for their meal, starting with trimming the meat and removing the fat. Afterwards, the two showcased a mukbang while tearing into steaks.
Tasting the meat, Sung Si-kyung exclaimed, "The meat was delicious even though nothing was done to it. It's crazy."
However, there was a problem with the live broadcast. When too many viewers tuned in, the stream lagged and cut off. Bapgubnam was surprised and said, "This usually doesn't happen, but today is strange. It's because hyung is so popular."
When the unexpected broadcast accident caused the bibim noodles to become soggy, Sung Si-kyung expressed regret, saying, "Soggy noodles don't get chewy."
Also, during the day, Sung Si-kyung watched footage of his own struggles in the studio and humorously said, "How pathetic, how pathetic," eliciting laughter.
After finishing the YouTube broadcast, Sung Si-kyung said, "This new type of broadcasting was fun, and although I'm not the main character, I would be grateful if you show a lot of love."
The joint broadcast between Sung Si-kyung and Bapgubnam surpassed 4 million views on YouTube, and subsequently, SanjeokTV's follower count increased by more than 100,000, generating significant buzz.
