Price Information for Galaxy Note20 and Fold2 Revealed on Greek Site
Galaxy Note20 at 1249 Euros, Ultra at 1499 Euros
Possibility of Being About 300,000 KRW More Expensive Than Previous Model
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Rumors have emerged that the Galaxy Note20 series will be launched at a higher price than its predecessors, the Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy S20. The Galaxy Fold2 is expected to be released in the high 2 million KRW range.
On the 3rd (local time), Greece's Techmaniacs reported that, based on reliable sources, the Galaxy Note20 will be priced starting at 1249 euros (approximately 1.68 million KRW), and the Galaxy Note20 Ultra will be sold at 1499 euros (about 1.88 million KRW). Techmaniacs predicted that pre-orders would begin on the 27th after the unveiling event on August 5th (local time).
The mentioned Galaxy Note20 price is 250 euros (about 330,000 KRW) more expensive than the previous Galaxy Note10. The Galaxy Note10 was launched in Europe at 999 euros (about 1.34 million KRW). Considering taxes, it is expected that in Europe, the device could be purchased for about 1199 euros (approximately 1.61 million KRW) to 1209 euros (about 1.63 million KRW), which is roughly 100,000 KRW cheaper than the stated price. Since prices vary by region, the domestic launch price may differ from the converted price. When the Galaxy Note10 series was released domestically last August, the retail price ranged from 1.24 million to 1.39 million KRW.

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra's price is 1499 euros, which converts to about 2.01 million KRW, marking an increase of over 300,000 KRW compared to the Galaxy Note10+ priced at 1149 euros (approximately 1.55 million KRW). It will also be launched about 100,000 KRW more expensive than the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which was released domestically at 1.59 million KRW. In Europe, it may be launched at 1449 euros (about 1.95 million KRW).
IT media outlet PhoneArena projected that the Galaxy Note20's US launch price will be $1199 (approximately 1.44 million KRW), and the Ultra model will be sold at $1449 (about 1.74 million KRW). These prices are based on the 128GB storage model.
According to the Greek site’s forecast, the price of the foldable smartphone successor, the Galaxy Fold2, has been set at 2199 euros (approximately 2.96 million KRW). Considering that the previous Galaxy Fold was launched in Europe last year at 2000 euros, which was about 2.5 million KRW at the time’s exchange rate, a slight price increase is possible. PhoneArena analyzed that it will be launched in the US at $2000 (about 2.39 million KRW). Given that the Galaxy Fold was released domestically at 2.39 million KRW, a slight price increase is expected.
The release schedule for the Galaxy Fold2 is expected to be delayed by more than a month compared to the Galaxy Note20. Techmaniacs analyzed, "Even if the Galaxy Fold2 is unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note20, due to COVID-19, it may not be released until late September or October."
