The Job Festival is a 1:1 matching job fair event designed to provide job seekers with various employment information and job opportunities and to resolve manpower shortages in small and medium-sized enterprises.
The event offers employment consulting in various fields such as resume and self-introduction letter writing, interview outfit coordination, which are basic preparation steps for employment, as well as on-site interviews by companies for new recruitment.
This event was attended by about 120 job seekers and about 30 representatives from 14 local companies including Jjangjuk Co., Ltd., Haemiro Co., Ltd., and Dongwoo Electric Co., Ltd.
Among them, interviewers from the 14 companies conducted on-site interviews, hiring 17 new employees and selecting 14 candidates for the second round of interviews.
The city complied with quarantine rules such as placing hand sanitizers throughout the venue, requiring all participants to wear masks, individually checking temperatures before and after the event, and maintaining social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
Mayor Kang In-gyu said, “We will strive to provide multifaceted employment support to revitalize the employment market, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, including through this Job Festival,” and added, “We will do our best to create jobs so that local youth do not leave the region due to worries about employment.”
