[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Hong Moon-pyo, a member of the Future United Party, claimed that the pressure from Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae surrounding Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol reflects President Moon's intentions, saying, "Could she act so arbitrarily?"

On the 3rd, Hong appeared on YTN Radio's 'Noh Young-hee's Start of a New Morning' and responded to the host's question, "Do you think ministers acting like this reflect the president's will?" by saying, "Would they do this without reading the room? Could Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae act so arbitrarily?"

Hong pointed out, "It is not desirable for the nation that national power is being wasted to single out Yoon Seok-yeol according to a script," adding, "I believe the president is directing the whole production, and the Democratic Party is mobilizing all actors. Minister Chu is the lead, and Prosecutor General Lee Seong-yoon is the supporting actor."

Regarding recent pressure from the ruling party for Prosecutor General Yoon's resignation, he said, "Whether he decides to step down now or continue should be left to him," and added, "Isn't his service period set at two years?"

When Seol Hoon, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized Yoon for 'looking after his own people,' Hong retorted, "If Yoon is doing this from the perspective of looking after his own people in the prosecution, then raising the level a bit, one might think the president is also looking after his own people, which leads to these issues."

Regarding former Justice Minister Park Sang-ki's interview claiming that Yoon forcibly conducted a search to bring down former Justice Minister Cho Kuk, Hong criticized, "What help does it do to the country, courts, or prosecution to reveal private conversations now in this situation?" He added, "If he served as a minister, he should have been more prudent. Revealing private remarks publicly is not prudent."
