Promotion of Comprehensive Reorganization of Public Land Assigned with Multiple Lot Numbers... 'Full Survey → Document Review and On-site Inspection → Administrative Property Arrangement' Procedure in Progress... Efficient Management of National and Public Property, Increased Convenience for Road Occupants' Civil Complaints
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) is conducting the "Administrative Property Comprehensive Maintenance Project," which simplifies roads that have not been organized after road construction under urban planning projects into a single lot number, until November.
The district initiated this maintenance of unorganized administrative properties to manage national and public assets more efficiently and to enable residents to easily identify public land when filing civil complaints.
In the case of unorganized public land, multiple lot numbers have been assigned to a single road, making it difficult for occupants to confirm the lot number and location of the road they occupy.
Accordingly, through this comprehensive maintenance, the district simplifies the complex lot numbers assigned to public land by assigning the minimum number of lot numbers, thereby increasing convenience for civil petitioners and improving the efficiency of administrative property management, such as charging occupancy fees and compensation.
The maintenance of unorganized administrative properties targets land where expansion and paving work has been completed, including urban planning roads, rivers, and streams. The process involves verifying ownership and land category through cadastral records and registries, completing registration requests, and organizing the data in the administrative property management system.
The project covers 48 major and medium roads out of 5,387 road lots totaling 3,071,030.3㎡ within Mapo-gu. From February to May, the district conducted a first comprehensive survey of roads subject to organization in each neighborhood using the Real Estate Comprehensive Database System.
Subsequently, after a second field survey, the district is sequentially merging and organizing public land into single lots. So far, 1,200 lots covering 1,023,670.7㎡ have been maintained, reducing the existing 94 road lot numbers to 32, simplifying the previously complex road lot numbering.
The district plans to continue the merging and organizing of public land and the cadastral organization in the administrative property system, aiming to complete the administrative property maintenance by November.
Yudonggyun, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, “Simplifying the lot numbers of public land such as roads will not only enable efficient management of national and public assets but also allow residents to easily identify public land. As a result, we expect a significant reduction in difficulties residents face when processing various civil complaints, including road occupancy permits.”
