[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] SK Engineering & Construction is establishing cleanrooms and energy systems for advanced industrial companies in its knowledge industry center brand, 'SK V1.'
On the 2nd, SK Engineering & Construction announced the 'SK V1 Value-Up Model,' which introduces bio centers and data centers?advanced growth industries?within knowledge industry centers, and on the 3rd, it signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with three small and medium-sized enterprises as the first step.
With the recent increase in demand for advanced industries such as bio centers and internet data centers mainly in the metropolitan area, SK Engineering & Construction signed this agreement to provide knowledge industry centers equipped with electrical, facility, ceiling height, and security systems tailored to these needs.
The three companies that signed the agreement this time are leading companies in cleanroom and energy facilities: Wonbang Tech, VPK, and Opt. Wonbang Tech is the top domestic company in sales for industrial and bio cleanrooms and dry rooms, responsible for temperature and humidity control and cleanroom construction. VPK, a specialized energy and environmental facility company, will establish energy system design. Opt, a subsidiary of Wonbang Tech and the top domestic company in bio cleanroom construction performance, will be responsible for bio cleanroom detailed design and construction.
SK Engineering & Construction plans to pre-identify customers with demand for cleanrooms and internet data centers and reflect the desired workspaces from the initial design stage.
Seungtae Jeon, head of the Architecture and Housing Business Division at SK Engineering & Construction, said, "We are leading efforts to continuously enhance space value by introducing advanced industrial spaces such as bio and data centers into the number one knowledge industry center brand, SK V1.
