Iksan City Council's Second Half Led by Chairman Yu Jaegu and Vice Chairman Park Cheolwon

At the 227th extraordinary session, Chairman Yoo Jae-gu (left) and Vice Chairman Park Cheol-won (right) were elected.

According to Iksan City Council on the 2nd, at the 227th extraordinary session, Councilor Yoo Jae-gu was elected as the chairman for the 8th term second half, and Councilor Park Cheol-won was elected as the vice chairman.

In this chairman election, Councilor Yoo Jae-gu ran as the sole candidate and was elected with 23 out of 25 total council members' votes. Also, Councilor Park Cheol-won, elected as vice chairman, received 21 votes.

Chairman Yoo Jae-gu, who was elected, stated, "I will faithfully perform the duties of chairman based on the three principles of communication, smooth progress, and harmony," and expressed his ambition, saying, "I will become the eyes of the citizens, cooperate with the executive branch, propose reasonable alternatives, and devote all my efforts to creating the future of Iksan."

Councilor Park Cheol-won said, "From the middle ground between the chairman and the council members, I will devote all my passion to communication with citizens and cooperation with the executive branch to create a truly citizen-centered council."

The chairman and vice chairman elected on this day will serve their terms until the end of June 2022.
