Ttangkkeut Pilgrimage Literature Museum Selected for Jeonnam Province Literary Resource Linkage Program Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 2nd that the Ddanggeut Sunrye Literature Museum was selected for the 2020 Jeonnam Literary Resource Linkage Program support project contest.
The Literary Resource Linkage Program is a contest project hosted by Jeollanam-do, which is a core project for creating the Namdo Literary Belt to develop scattered literary resources in the province into tourism resources.
In this contest, the Ddanggeut Sunrye Literature Museum planned the "2020 Haenam Literature Festival Si-tteure, Haenam," which features Haenam's representative literary asset, "poetry," as a theme where residents and tourists come together, and will receive a total project fund of 16 million KRW.
The literature festival, scheduled to be held in November, will consist of a talk concert inviting families and friends of Haenam's representative modern writers Lee Dong-ju, Park Seong-ryong, Kim Nam-ju, and Ko Jeong-hee, a special poetry painting exhibition, poetry busking, and literary trail tours with the writers.
In particular, unique programs such as poetry busking operated in the city center and literary trail tours led by local writers are already attracting attention.
The county plans to collaborate with local cultural artists, literary figures, and organizations to discover hidden local cultural artists and present diverse programs that fuse genres such as literature, art, and music.
A Haenam-gun official said, "Following the resident writer support project at the literature museum and the regional literature museum specialization program support project, being selected for this contest project consecutively allows us to provide various opportunities for residents to enjoy literature," adding, "We will strive to make the literature museum a hub of local culture and arts through continuous discovery of literary resources."
Meanwhile, the Ddanggeut Sunrye Literature Museum, which opened in December 2017 as a public literature museum, is equipped with a permanent exhibition hall, a special exhibition hall, and a book cafe, and has an affiliated facility called Baekryeonjae Literature House that supports writers' creative activities.
