According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 1st, as of 8 PM, 15 new confirmed cases were reported in one day.
The 66th confirmed case is a woman in her 70s residing in Dongmyeong-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, who was confirmed to have come into contact with the 46th confirmed case in Gwangju at the CCC Agape Silver Center. She visited the center at the Dong-gu Public Health Center the previous day for specimen collection and was confirmed positive at 5 PM on the same day.
The 67th confirmed case is a man in his 60s living in Gakhwa-dong, Buk-gu. He had contact with the 49th confirmed case in Gwangju.
The 68th confirmed case, a woman in her 50s living in Unam-dong, Buk-gu, and the 69th confirmed case, a woman in her 50s living in Duam-dong, Buk-gu, were confirmed to have had contact with the 46th confirmed case in Gwangju.
The 70th confirmed case, a woman in her 50s residing in Ochi-dong, Buk-gu, had contact with the 48th confirmed case in Gwangju, and the 71st confirmed case, a man in his 30s living in Duam-dong, Buk-gu, had contact with the 56th confirmed case in Gwangju.
Gwangju City has transferred these individuals to Chonnam National University Hospital and is verifying their exact movement paths, infection routes, and contacts.
Meanwhile, 15 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Gwangju area so far today. Twelve are related to the CCC Agape Silver Center, the workplace of the 46th confirmed case, a senior care worker, and three are related to the Geumyang Officetel in Dong-gu, presumed to be a door-to-door sales company office.
