Hanmi Financial Group announced that it will launch Hanmi Real Estate, a platform specializing in real estate sales and leasing, along with a YouTube channel that easily explains real estate listings featured on the platform.
According to the company, people interested in real estate investment will be able to quickly and easily access segmented and specialized information for each property.
The ‘Hanmi Real Estate’ site introduces a new business model by combining high value-added real estate listings with the Prop Tech sector, which has primarily developed around residential real estate.
Hanmi Financial Group (Chairman Kim Jae-dong), a real estate investment specialist, described the ‘Hanmi Real Estate’ site, opening on July 1, as “the first step toward becoming a Prop Tech-based platform company in the fourth industrial revolution of the real estate market,” adding, “It will be the driving force for Hanmi Financial Group to grow as a leader in the real estate sales and leasing business.” The company also stated, “We will focus all our corporate capabilities to build specialized network competitiveness in the high value-added real estate sector.”
The YouTube channel ‘Hanmi Real Estate TV,’ launched alongside the ‘Hanmi Real Estate’ site, will provide diverse and rich real estate information for all age groups. This is a swift move to gain an advantage in the real estate market amid active real estate information exchange and sharing through social networking services (SNS).
The trend of using SNS such as YouTube and Instagram for information searches is gradually increasing. According to the ‘Report on Social Media and Search Portals 2020’ by mobile survey company Open Survey, 67.0% of respondents said their use of YouTube for information searches increased, up 12.8% from the previous year, while portal site usage decreased by 5.6% to 46.4%. Narrowing the focus to the past month, the usage rates for information searches were highest for YouTube (37.6%), followed by Naver Blog (22.2%), Instagram (19.0%), and Facebook (7.0%), indicating a high dependence on SNS.
Factors contributing to the rise in YouTube usage include the ability to watch necessary materials in easy-to-understand videos, the abundance of useful content, positive perceptions of information interest and usefulness, and the expansion of SNS users into the 50s and 60s age groups.
The YouTube channel ‘Hanmi Real Estate TV’ will provide reader-focused, accessible content tailored to the real estate industry, which has many older investors. Eleven professional announcers, including Chuncheon MBC announcer Park Yoon-mi, freelance announcer Kang Min-ji, and Jung Seo-an, will introduce real estate listings by category.
Meanwhile, Hanmi Financial Group will hold a membership registration event to celebrate the opening of the ‘Hanmi Real Estate’ site and ‘Hanmi Real Estate TV’ YouTube channel.
From July 1 to 14, members who sign up on the website will be entered into a draw to win various prizes, including a 1-night, 2-day stay at Hoengseong Club Castle, a 100,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificate, and Starbucks iced Americano gifticons. Winners will be announced on July 20 via the website, and detailed information is available on the ‘Hanmi Real Estate’ site.
