Naju-si Launches Four New Summer Beverages Made from Pears

Naju-si Launches Four New Summer Beverages Made from Pears

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 1st that it has launched four new summer beverages made from pears.

Starting today, pear slush, pear ade, pear yogurt, and pear red bean shaved ice will be sold at the local food direct store Geumnam Branch (Geumnawarack).

The biggest attraction of the newly released pear beverages is that the pear pur?e and pear syrup are made purely from Naju pears, and all other ingredients such as rice, red beans, black soybeans, and jujubes are also agricultural products from Naju.

The city expects this to contribute to creating a healthy food culture that consumers can trust and consume, as well as overcoming the limitations of pear processing, which had mainly been limited to pear juice, thereby helping secure sales channels for farmers and increasing their income.

In addition, to commemorate the launch of the new pear beverages, a 10% discount event will be held until the 31st of next month.

If you present a receipt from a restaurant in the area on the day of payment, a 10% discount will be applied when purchasing any of the four pear beverages.

Mayor Kang In-gyu said, “This launch of pear beverages is expected to promote the diversity of Naju pear processing and help increase the income of pear farmers. We hope you enjoy the delicious pear beverages at Geumnawarack and purchase plenty of fresh and safe agricultural products.”
