Heerim Wins Remodeling Design Contract for Suwon Sinnamusil Jugong 5 Complex

[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Heerim Architects & Planners announced on the 1st that it has been selected as the design firm for the remodeling project of Sinnamusil Jugong Complex 5 in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi Province.

Sinnamusil Jugong Complex 5, located in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi Province, currently consists of a large complex with 1,504 households ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 20 floors above ground. Built with a high floor area ratio of 219.72%, the complex has relatively low profitability for redevelopment projects.

Heerim plans to significantly improve the residential environment by expanding the exclusive area per household through horizontal and separate building extensions and securing additional parking spaces. They also intend to increase profitability by securing additional general sale units within the allowable limits. Furthermore, by applying a specialized new facade design, they aim to create a sophisticated urban landscape and design the complex as an eco-friendly community with high-end community facilities and abundant green spaces and landscaping.

Currently, Heerim has successfully carried out remodeling projects for large apartment complexes such as Apgujeong Hyundai Employee Apartments in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and Mokryeon Complex 3 Woosung Apartments in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. This year, they have also been selected as the design firm for remodeling projects at Munjeong Geonyeong in Songpa-gu, Seoul, Hyundai Complex 3 in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, and Suji Sinjeong Village Complex 9 in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.

A Heerim official stated, "Not only in Seoul but also in the metropolitan area and provinces, the number of apartment complexes turning to remodeling projects instead of redevelopment is increasing."
