[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 1st that all five projects submitted for the 2nd local finance investment review by the central government this year have passed.
The projects that passed this time include the tentative North-myeon 1 High School establishment project, Yeoja District National Sports Center construction project, Defense Industry Innovation Cluster pilot project, Changwon Small and Medium Research and Development Special Zone occupancy space construction project, and Changwon Self-sufficient Complex Administrative Town development project, which are major pending projects the city intends to promote.
The central investment review is a legal procedure in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety reviews the necessity and feasibility before project implementation for new local investment projects with a total project cost of 20 billion KRW or more.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu of Changwon said, “Since the five projects that passed the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s investment review have the foundation to proceed, we will carefully fulfill the conditions and carry out the projects without any gaps.”
