Mirae Asset Daewoo, Industry's First to Offer Free Real-Time Overseas Index Quotes

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Mirae Asset Daewoo announced on the 1st that it will be the first in the industry to provide real-time overseas index quotes for free.

Any Mirae Asset Daewoo customer can check real-time quotes of seven major overseas indices for free through Mirae Asset Daewoo's main trading platforms m.Global, Kairos, and m.Stock, including three US indices: Dow Jones Industrial, Nasdaq Composite, and S&P 500, as well as four Asian indices: Hang Seng, China Enterprises (H), Nikkei 225, and TOPIX.

A Mirae Asset Daewoo official said, "We decided to provide real-time quotes of representative overseas indices free of charge to all customers to enhance the convenience of overseas stock trading, which has recently surged. We believe this will be a great help to customers who trade in real time by utilizing market volatility."

Mirae Asset Daewoo is developing and providing various services so that overseas stock investors can invest as easily and conveniently as they do in domestic stocks. A representative example is the Korean localization of global investment information services. Research materials for about 2,000 frequently traded overseas stocks are provided in Korean, and overseas news is translated and provided in real time through a partnership with Reuters. For exchange-traded funds (ETFs), Mirae Asset Daewoo is the first domestic securities firm to offer information on about 3,700 ETFs listed in 10 major countries (including the United States, China, Hong Kong, and Korea) in Korean, and has enhanced the search function to allow ETF searches by keywords and constituent stocks.

In addition, big data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI)-based overseas investment services are also provided. The ‘Dr. Big’s Power Ranking’ service analyzes overseas stock-related information with AI so that anyone can intuitively compare investment stocks, and the ‘Big Data Trend Stocks’ service captures and guides stocks that have recently been frequently mentioned in economic news.
