[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Korea Elevator Safety Agency announced on the 1st that it held its 4th anniversary ceremony at the agency headquarters EL-Safe Hall on the 30th of last month.
The ceremony was held simply, starting with the screening of the '4th Anniversary Footsteps of the Agency' video, followed by commemorative speeches by the Chairman and the Labor Union Chairman, employee awards, cake cutting and commemorative photos, and refreshments, with only the agency headquarters staff attending due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The agency is a quasi-governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the only elevator inspection agency in Korea, and the top specialized institution for life safety, established on July 1, 2016.
Kim Young-gi, Chairman of the Korea Elevator Safety Agency, said in his commemorative speech, "Over the past four years, we have achieved remarkable results in various fields and have steadily grown into the best specialized institution for elevator safety," and emphasized, "Let all employees unite and strive to provide high-quality elevator safety services along with a better future for the agency."
